KASTEEL CROY - CROYLAAN 14 TE AARLE-RIXTEL
Unique office holding in quiet green surroundings in 'Castle Croy'.
Total approx. 738 m2 l.f.a. office space.
History
Castle Croy, located in Aarle-Rixtel under the smoke of Helmond, is a historical gem dating back to the 15th century. The exact construction date is unknown, but the castle is first mentioned in 1477. The original builders were probably members of the Van Croy family, from the noble family from which the castle takes its name. Over the centuries, the castle has had several owners, each with their own influence on the architecture and atmosphere of the building.
The last private occupant, Johanna van der Brugghen, also known as the freule, left a warm and personal mark on the castle. Until her death in 1873, she lovingly supervised the upkeep of the gardens and buildings. Her presence gave Croy Castle a special, almost homely atmosphere, which can be felt to this day.
Renovation
In early 2024, the castle temporarily closed its doors for the purpose of a large-scale renovation and restoration of this national monument. The outside of the castle has been tackled for intensive maintenance of the facades, pointing and exterior painting. The inside in particular has undergone a major metamorphosis, while the entire building-related installations have also been renewed and made more sustainable so that the property meets today's requirements and wishes of office users.
The entrance floor was renovated and redesigned as an inviting reception area. The most extensive renovation and rearrangement took place on the first and second (attic) floors, which have become 2 modernised, independent office floors while retaining the characteristic elements. The complete interior painting has been renewed with respect for historical colouring.
Virtually nothing is untouched, obviously preserving the valuable and monumental elements and respecting the monument. A unique office accommodation has been created that meets all contemporary needs but in a truly beautiful historical ‘jacket’ and green environment. For the modern office user who wants to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, ‘Kasteel Croy’ offers the ideal solution for space, tranquillity, optimal parking, but above all a highly distinctive accommodation with a story for both users and their visitors.
The Castle today
Today, Croy Castle offers unique office spaces for companies and organisations seeking an inspiring working environment in peaceful and green rural settings. The classic style elements, such as vaulted ceilings, wooden beams and authentic windows, have been carefully preserved, creating a unique ambience.
Working at Kasteel Croy means working in an environment where history and modern comfort come together seamlessly. In addition to its (external) office function, the castle primarily has a cultural-social function.
It is possible to get married and hold other meetings in the castle, but it is emphatically not a party location!
The ground floor serves as a very inviting, stately reception area. On this floor are spacious meeting rooms where the castle's history is very noticeable. These are available for rent to everyone. Catering for the meetings is provided from the basement. Here you will also find the common lunch area for the office tenants of the first floor and second (attic) floor.
The first and second (attic) floors were very thoroughly tackled and partly rearranged during the renovation. Each floor now has its own separate sanitary groups and pantry facilities. This has created two efficient, largely open-plan office floors. There is a nice contrast between the historical elements of the castle and the modern elements appropriate to the contemporary office workfloor.
Office space
Total available for lease is approximately 738 m² l.f.o.*), distributed as follows:
• first floor: approximately 424 m² l.f.a.
• second (attic) floor: approximately 314 m² gross floor area:
*) floor area includes the lettable floor area of office space including the allocation of the common areas of the castle, such as the basement, reception area on the entrance floor and traffic areas.
The meeting rooms and ceremony rooms on the ground floor (entrance level) and in the basement vary in size from approx. 15 m² to approx. 80 m² l.f.a. These areas can be rented separately on a daily rental basis, either by external companies or by the castle's tenants.
The Faith, Hope and Love Foundation wishes to rent the first and second (attic) floors to ééone large tenant or ééone tenant per floor for the time being.
Croy Castle therefore has a function as a building with office use and space for cultural and social events. The cultural and social events take place on the ground floor, basement and garden of the castle and will conflict as little as possible with the office tenants. Obviously, this will be done in consultation with users and in accordance with agreements in the Internal Regulations.
