At truly stunning location, on the edge of the historic Kerkenbuurt area in Soest, a beautiful and extremely COMPLETE BOERENHOEVE becomes available after more than 40 years. The farmhouse was established in 1885 and almost completely rebuilt using only high-quality materials and retaining the original roof and trusses. The farm stands on a plot of over 1.6 ha and is surrounded by outbuildings, wagon shed, bakery, hay barn cum horse stable, 5 row hay storage barn and a sheepfold. Besides the 3 pastures equipped with a sprinkler system, there is a park-like area with pond and trees behind the sheepfold. The house was rebuilt to a high standard in 1977; insulated cavity walls, concrete floor floors in the main house and a thatched screw roof on roof boards in 2002. The property has been excellently maintained. There have been minor alterations since then and much remains in its original state. The front house and the first floor have been used as living quarters and the part, with a separate entrance, as offices. The sheepfold is heated and suitable for receiving about 50 guests. There are 5 horse boxes and enough space for storing hay and straw. The cart shed offers space for 4 cars. The bakery contains a kitchen for summer dining outside. The haystack barn was rebuilt in 2001 and suitable for stables. The vegetable garden is bordered by a long chicken coop/ aviary. There is another shed for small livestock in the meadow at the front. A pond lot has been created in the grove for water birds, from the sheepfold there is a nice view of this.

Ground floor
You enter through the covered entrance on the left. In the overhead light the characteristic white cast-iron tree of life. From the spacious hall with staircase, you have access to the various rooms. At the front, the bright and cosy living room with rod windows, beamed ceiling and fireplace. Around the fireplace the robust mantelpiece with beautiful tile panels. There are French doors to the sunny side garden.

Double doors from the living room provide access to the adjoining kitchen diner. Through the French doors in the cosy kitchen you have a beautiful view over the farmlands. From the kitchen you also have access to the pantry/wine cellar. Next is the practical utility room with storage space and connections for the washing machine and dryer. Both the living room, kitchen and scullery have access to the garden.

Particularly attractive is the generous room on the ground floor. Ideal to use as a dining room, playroom or TV room. Or use it as a bedroom as there is an adjoining extra bathroom. This bathroom has a rain shower, washbasin and a separate toilet.

The rear part can of course be accessed from the front house and this beautiful space also lends itself perfectly to autonomous use as an office or practice room. The yard has many trees, 2 slate lime trees at the front, oak trees on the south side for shade on the farm, oak trees along the driveway at the front and slate lime trees along the driveway behind. There are some walnut trees, chestnut, and various trees in the grove behind the sheepfold and along the peter van den Bremer road. Holly and rhododendrons and beech hedges provide natural partitions.
