Hengelo is the capital of the Achterhoekse municipality Bronckhorst but above all a pleasant farming village where neighbors - if necessary - still have an eye for each other. Around the church you will often find pop up stalls in addition to the weekly market. Diagonally opposite is a large parking lot with a wide range of stores. In the beautiful countryside, forests and estates alternate with cozy villages. There is an elementary school in Hengelo itself. The older youth cycle together to Zutphen or Doetinchem for secondary school.
