The location between the Cape Forests and the much more open agricultural area and yet a few hundred meters from the built-up area, is truly unique. Originally built in 1780, the longhouse farm was renovated for the first time in 1915. In 1980 it was completely restored and in 2012 modernized and isolated. This characteristic farmhouse is situated on a large plot of 5,400 m², including a piece of forest, and has beautiful multifunctional outbuildings.

The front side is characterized by the authentic sliding windows, cross-bar frames and shutters. Many old details and structures have been preserved such as doors, wooden trusses and level differences. A few years ago, the entire roof of the farm was renewed and insulated inside and out. The kitchen and bathrooms have also been renovated in recent years. All this makes this farmhouse a beautiful example in excellent condition.

The center of Doorn is just a few minutes by bike. The village Doorn is located near Utrecht and Amersfoort, at the foot of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park is ideal for hiking, horseback riding or mountain biking. DESCRIPTION
GROUND FLOOR

Through the entrance, on the side of the farm, you enter the foyer. From here you have access to the semi-sunken pantry and the upstairs room. The upstairs room and the basement are two beautifully preserved authentic rooms of the farm. The hall also gives access to the living room at the front, the toilet and the spacious kitchen in the middle of the farm.

The living room is a very attractive whole with a beautiful fireplace, solid plank floor and a robust beamed ceiling. The spacious kitchen gives an amazing feeling of spaciousness through the open connection to the landing on the first floor.

The kitchen has an island, dishwasher, double sink, Quooker, 6-burner stove with double oven with grill (Falcon), fridge and freezer. A lovely central spot in the farm with lots of light through the different (roof) windows. There is also a beautiful fireplace with an original Norwegian Jøtul wood stove and the entire kitchen is equipped with underfloor heating.

Behind this kitchen is a room that the current residents use as an extra sitting room. The presence of the adjoining bathroom is realizing a bedroom here is also conceivable. The adjacent bathroom has a toilet, shower and sink.

At the rear of the farm you will find the garage and utility room. From the utility room, with large closets, you have access to the kitchen, garage and garden. You will also find here the meter cupboard and the connections for the washer and dryer.

In the garage are the original sliding doors to find and there is besides a car enough space for your bikes and garden tools. The boiler room with central heating system is accessible from the outside as well as the workshop located next to the garage.

FIRST FLOOR

The first floor is characterized by the special landing with spacious loft. This runs the entire length of the farm and gives access to all bedrooms, two bathrooms and a storage room. Bakery
Next to the farm is the bakery. This cozy cottage has a gas stove with fireplace and is now used as an office. An existing space offers the possibility of placing a toilet. With a fixed open staircase you have access to the (sleeping) attic above.

Barns and veranda
Next to the bakery is the bicycle shed. This original stable is divided into two parts. The outside is partly covered with wood and the canopy continues at the back and side.

Next to the landscaped playing field in the corner of the plot is a barn made entirely of wood with lots of space for wood storage.

In line with the farmhouse there is also a fully wooden covered veranda. This veranda has a cozy sitting area and is also large enough for wood storage.

The garden around the farmhouse has been recently renovated and has been partially re-paved and equipped with gravel. There is, among other things, a playing field with artificial grass for the children, large lawn around the house and various possibilities for terrace.
