The Gate Building:
Through the driveway you first get to the beautiful Poortgebouw, now in use as a meeting location. The beautiful white facade, the windows with rod division and the stone framed front door invite you for a closer acquaintance. Inside, history and modern elements form a tasteful combination which is finished in detail. To the left of the gate is the L-shaped meeting room which is equipped with all modern conveniences. There is light at the front and back and the sliding door gives access to the square at the back. Of course there is a ladies and gents toilet on the ground floor as well as a nice office space. Under the stairs in the hall is a hatch to the vaulted cellar; an almost mystical place with a system of corridors where you can fully experience the character of the gatehouse. There are two staircases on the outside of the system of corridors that lead to the square at the back. In the basement, among other things, the heating installation, boilers, hydrophore and the heating tank are located.
Spread over the ground, first and second floor are 10 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The size, layout and appearance is different but the high quality element is the high quality finish with luxurious materials. There are bathrooms with a shower, toilet and sink but also bathrooms with a bath, shower, toilet and sink. There is also a practical laundry room on the first floor which also serves as storage.
Underfloor heating, natural stone, oak, stucco, beautiful upholstery and all necessary safety features including emergency lighting ensure that you can receive guests at a high level.

The Villa:
If you walk through the Gate building to the rear of the property you will immediately notice the villa, decorated in half-timbered style. The inviting entrance gives access to the spacious hall with the borde stairs, wooden paneling, the wooden supporting structure partly visible and a beautiful natural stone floor. In the corner of the hall there are two toilets with a porch where the tile tableau behind the washbasin demands your attention.
Most of the floor space on the ground floor is used as living room, dining room and kitchen. The imposing sitting room has a wooden floor, large fireplace with fireplace and view to the ridge of the villa where the roof has long been supported by the wooden beams. In the sitting room you can see many characteristic elements including window shutters, half-timberings and a mezzanine which can be reached via the oak staircase. In the corner of the living room is a bar with room for at least 7 people and behind the French doors is the dining room where currently there is room for 25 people at the long dining table.
From the dining room and hallway the professional kitchen can be reached with a rear sink / utility room annex storage. The present equipment is of high quality and is ready to cook for a large group. Finally, on the ground floor there is an office space and a (sleeping) room with an adjacent hall, separately accessible from the outside. The first floor can be reached via various stairs. The large landing connects to the 5 bedrooms and the laundry room. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, each with its own character and views of the garden. As in the Poortgebouw, the bathrooms are equipped with all conveniences: a shower, toilet and sink sometimes supplemented with a bathtub. Another floor up are 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. In the ridge of the Villa is an attic space, accessible via a fixed staircase.
The villa has a large basement which is entirely dedicated to wellness. A few years ago this wellness has been realized which meets all contemporary wishes; guests will lack for nothing. There is a large sauna, several showers, a 10-person Jacuzzi, a massage-/relaxation room and a toilet group with dressing room. Here, too, extensive use has been made of oak wood, natural stone and stucco; under the floor there is underfloor heating to bring comfort to an exceptionally high level.

The Coach House:
The third building on this domain is the Koetshuis. On the ground floor is a large, multifunctional space that is currently used as a recreational area. The Coach House has been transformed into a fantastic space with an industrialële atmosphere combined with the stable windows of yesteryear. Next to the recreation room is a second room with a toilet group, kitchen unit and a large entrance door on the spot where the high barn doors used to be.
On the first floor are a second recreation room and two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The bathrooms are divided with a shower, toilet and sink and in the recreation room you look through the wooden roof construction to the ridge of the imposing building.

Exterior:
On the magnificent plot of 6.200m2 are many facilities focused on sportsmanship and wellness. Hit a ball on the tennis court or test your throw on the basketball court. Furthermore, there is a courtyard, a well-maintained garden and a sauna where you can relax and unwind. It is also a fantastic place for children; they can tell the best stories in the treehouse or practice their skills on the trampoline. There is ample parking on site, a large terrace with magnificent views and fireplaces where visitors often enjoy this unique place in the Belgian Ardennes until late in the evening.

History:
The Domaine has a rich history. As the former home of the highest officers of the famous Chasseurs Ardennais (elite part of the Belgian armed forces) it has always been an important place for the area. The buildings were the pride of the regiment, they served to relax and were also used to receive other dignitaries.
The Stel family from Amsterdam acquired the Domaine about twenty years ago. 
Since then, with great respect for the past but with an eye for the future, we have worked very hard to open up this special accommodation for guests.
On the terrain the image of the wild boar returns frequently. It is not only the symbol of the Ardennes, the Chasseurs Ardennais also used the animal as a mascot. Until 1990 there was even a living specimen on the domain. The pet of the Officers.

The terrain
Domaine des Officiers is located on a 3 hectare site. Within the Domaine there are several buildings. A main building, a gatehouse, an outbuilding. Next to the buildings there is a courtyard, a tennis court, recreation room, ample parking, fireplaces. And a huge garden with terrace.
Privateé groups
The Domaine is ideal for privateé matters such as familyüsneeze, anniversaries, birthdays and weddings. Thanks to its sheltered location, privacy is guaranteed. In addition, the Domaine is exclusive. So others will never be on the grounds with you at the same time. You and your company are fully in control.
So you decide how and what you want to organize. So whether you prefer to do it all yourself or if you prefer to outsource as much as possible. You remain in control at all times.
Multiple stays
There are three buildings on the site. There are two dining rooms, a professional kitchen, twenty-five rooms with private bathroom, tennis court, Spa with sauna, jacuzzi, relaxation room and massage room. The enormous garden offers plenty of fun for children. There is a trampoline and a tree house. In addition, there is plenty of space on the terrace to sit in the sun or have lunch. Closing the day with a conversation around the fire makes the day complete.
A cozy evening with z’n all by the fireplace or cooking a delicious dinner together in the large kitchen. But if you don't feel like cooking, you can also have your stay catered for. At the Domaine you can be very active or very relaxed. Space for everyone

The different ingredients are explained beforehand. During the workshop you will work in groups on various dishes that will eventually form a menu. During the cooking, cooks give guidance and explanation. Of course there is also plenty of opportunity to enjoy a nice glass of wine while cooking. After all the dishes have been prepared, the table is set and it is time to enjoy the home-made dinner and enjoy a nice meal. For the cooking workshops you can choose from different menu’s. For example a French menu, a Limburg regional menu or an African menu.
