The farmhouse is located at a romantic, dead end road, in a typical Frisian, vast and green area. The architecturally designed garden includes, in addition to a heated swimming pool, an orchard, chestnut trees, rose garden, lush hydrangeas and several terraces. The garden is entirely surrounded by water, ditches and an own harbour with jetties and connection with the Frisian lakes.
The lower floor has a 275 m2 living area with, among other things, a spacious entrance and hall, living rooms, guest room with bathroom, study, dining room, kitchen diner with a 6 burner Boretti stove with two ovens, American refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and Quooker, scullery. The house includes many authentic details and elements. The study has an antique fireplace, a French oak antique floor and built-in bookcases across two walls. The floors in the hall, kitchen/scullery and toilet are made of hand cut Namen blue stone and feature floor heating. In the other rooms, the radiators have been hidden in special heating closets constructed for this house. The walls in the kitchen feature original Frisian “witjes” from ceiling to ground. Two antique tableaus with painted tiles (Tichelaar) make the wall into an adornment in the kitchen.
The rebuilt part is connected to the dwelling house by two patio doors. To the south side, broad patio doors have been fitted allowing for lots of light. There is a free area, 3 guest rooms, a luxurious spacious bathing/sauna room adjacent relax area, scullery, toilet, technical area, including 3 central heating boilers, swimming pool equipment, a spacious catering walk-in refrigerator and garage.
The upper floor is reached using a French oak staircase. A very spacious master bedroom with a bathroom and walk-in closet are located on this floor. Two dormer windows bring in the morning light. In addition, there are another two bedrooms and a second bathroom.
There is a hobby attic on the second floor.
