Stables complex and garage/storage room:
To the left of the farmhouse is the stable complex which consists of a private stable, a man stable and a large open storage garage annex barn. Concrete floors, wide entrance doors and excellent facilities for keeping horses ensure a flying start at the stables complex. Currently there are 9 horse stables but further expansion is possible.
On the upper floor wellness is central; here you will find a gym, sauna, steam shower and two toilets. The conference room next to the gym has good commercial rental possibilities and the upper floor has its own entrance with stairs from the courtyard.
At the end of the courtyard is the entrance to the private house. The deep hallway provides access to the wine-/pro vision cellar, the living kitchen and the spacious living room. The living kitchen has a fantastic atmosphere thanks to the beamed ceiling, the generous height and the stone floor with underfloor heating. At the front you look to the courtyard and at the back to the private garden with pasture at the back. The kitchen layout is large and has all the comfort you desire. The eye-catcher is the large AGA cooker with several ovens and a chimney in the chimney ... 'home is where the heart is'.
The living room has the en-suite distribution that many people want. At the front is the sitting room with fireplace and the back part is used as a desk. Beautiful wooden floors, stucco on the walls, high ceiling with a subtle frame and stylish fireplaces; all tuned in to each other down to the last detail and with their own character.
Through the stately staircase you enter a multifunctional room that you can use as a TV room, desk or as a second sitting room. This space includes a large storage room, hidden behind beautiful panel doors.
There are three large bedrooms on the first floor; the car room, the princess room and the airplane room. All rooms are very spacious and are now the domain of the children of the house. The bathroom has a large shower and each child has its own sink. The toilet is in a separate room, accessible through a door in the corner of the multifunctional room.
Another floor up is the domain of the parents. The enormous space is used as master bedroom with open bathroom; it equals the experience of a five star hotel. The sturdy wooden roof construction and the view up to the ridge provide an unforgettable impression. Next to this space is the dressing room with an adjoining attic storeroom.
There are eight high-quality guesthouses, spread over two wings. Each guesthouse has its own entrance on the courtyard. Between the guesthouses and the private house is the breakfast room for guests, accessible via a private entrance in the corner of the courtyard. Multiple French doors provide a direct connection between the breakfast room and the outside terrace and garden. Next to the breakfast room are a practical storage/provision room and a hall with a toilet and a storage cupboard.
The guest rooms on the left side of the courtyard are on the ground floor with a living room, a double bedroom, bathroom and a separate toilet. The four guest rooms on the right side of the courtyard are duplexes. They have a living room, the bathroom and a separate toilet on the ground floor. Upstairs (under the roof) are the spacious double bedrooms. Wood and natural stone has been used extensively in all guest rooms, so you can see the very old roof construction and on the ground floor of all guest rooms there is a beautiful natural stone tiled floor.
The farmhouse and the stables are situated on a beautiful plot where it is very good living for humans and animals. De Koer offers many sitting possibilities, in the sun and shade. There is a paved outdoor area close to the open stabling garage with excellent opportunities for storing horse-drawn carriages and trailers. In the fully fenced meadows you will find many (fruit) trees and there are large terraces where you can enjoy the sun and shade.
With us you will enjoy the luxury of a hotel, but you will find the cosiness and hospitality of an atmospheric B&B...B&B De Keyartmolen has 8 luxurious guest rooms, of which 4 duplex rooms (with bedroom on the first floor) and 4 guest rooms on the entire ground floor, accessible for the disabled. All rooms are decorated with an eye for detail in a cozy rural atmosphere. They all have a private bathroom with walk-in shower, rain shower, whirlpool bath, vanity unit with washbasin and a separate toilet.

Tongerlo is a quiet, dozing village in the northeast of Belgium. Tongerlo is part of the cosy town of Bree in the province of Limburg. The Netherlands and Germany are nearby. On the edge of the village centre, where the Itterbeek crosses the Zuid-Willemsvaart, lies the Keyartmolen. This centuries-old farm and water mill (the name appears in manuscripts from the Middle Ages) is an official 'monument and protected village view'.
The entire mill and farm complex was taken over in 2008 by Sonja Houben and Wim Winthaegen, a couple with 20 years of experience in top-level catering management: born entrepreneurs who strive for the ideal mix of an exciting new quality project and quality time in nature. Rural peace and quiet with a little less pressure on the kettle.
